June 17th, 2018 (A1)
A1 = Missy, Michael, Nathan, Jeanette, Julie B
Practice: SATURDAY, June 16th, 7-8:30PM. Pastor Dave will be at denominational meetings this week and this is the only other time available.
Text: Genesis 42:35-38
Sermon Title: “Wake Up!”
Possible Aux. Texts: Romans 8:28
Call to Worship: Psalm 1
Theme: God loves us. God is the sovereign ruler over the entire universe. There is nothing that happens that God doesn’t ultimately work out for our good and His glory. Do we (like Jesus) trust Him in the midst of difficult, painful and hard times that He will in fact turn this current evil into future good?
Memory Verse: You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. — Genesis 50:20
SONG “FILTER”
– What is the focus of this song? What is the role/space of your instrument? Does someone have a specific vision for this song? Do we need to freshen up this song? How so? Who is leading vocally? Which song is being done without music? What is one new thing we can try with a song, or some way to spark creativity within it?
Good Good Father (try without music during practice)
