Kid’s Club is for all elementary aged children and meets on every Wednesday that school meets throughout the year from 7:00 to 8:15 pm.  A meeting usually consists of a Bible lesson, singing, snack, games or crafts, and an object lesson to reinforce the Bible lesson.

Kid’s Club offers points for attendance, Bible memorization,

bringing your Bible, bringing a visitor, attending Sunday School, and special points are awarded from time to time.  The points add up to earn Kid’s Club Dollars, which are then used to purchase prizes at a meeting in December and June.

Coming to Kid’s Club (KC) earns you 100 KC pts., bringing your Bible is worth 100 pts., bringing a first time visitor is worth 400 pts., saying your memory verse is worth at least 400 pts. per week, and coming to Sunday School earns you 200 pts. per week.  (1,000 KC pts. = 1 KC dollar)

At the June Kid’s Club sale (June 6, 2012) children have the option to purchase a trip to Chuck E. Cheese for 10 KC dollars (June 12 from 11:45 AM  - 5:30 PM).  Current KC earnings are displayed each week.

Children’s Church

There are special services for children 4 years old through 5th grade during the 10:50 worship service.  Children’s Church meets in the Gym on the west end of the ground level.  The children begin worship with their parents in the sanctuary and after the worship time and Children’s Chat, they are dismissed.  Each week the children sing, and then have a Bible lesson along with lesson related activities.

Several times a year there are Children’s Church Rewards Parties!  These are to reward children who read their Bibles and memorize God’s Word.   If you have questions, please contact Jody Saunders at jodymsaunders@yahoo.com.

Sunday School

The Sunday School hour is from 9:50 to 10:40 am.  There are classes available for all ages, infant through adult.  Children 0-4 years old meet in the toddler nursery on the lower level.  Those in elementary grades meet in the middle of the upstairs rooms for singing and teaching the first twenty minutes, and then they are dismissed to classes:  K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th.

Nursery

The infant nursery is for those 0-1 years of age and meets on the ground level by the Sanctuary.  The toddler nursery is for children 2-4 years old and is located in the lower level of the church.  The nursery is available during the 10:50 worship service on Sunday mornings, and also during the Wednesday evening services during the school year (for parents involved with the Wed. night services).

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, the Hillsdale FMC hosts Vacation Bible School for children in the Hillsdale area. VBS is for kids 4 years old through those entering 6th grade.   This year’s VBS will be June 11-15, 2012.  We will be “traveling” to Promise Island to explore the promises of God!  To register your child or volunteer for this year’s Vacation Bible School click here.
