Get your geek on at the HFMC!
We had a recent request to offer instant-downloadable sermon notes for those who are a little more tech savvy and bring smartphones and/or tablets to church. We like to get our “geek” on from time to time around here so we posted a QR code outside the sanctuary that will give your phone/tablet a direct link to a downloadable copy of the sermon notes and bulletin each week. To use this, you must already have one of those free QR code reader programs installed on your device from your app store. Be warned though, at this time we haven’t figured out how to allow the phone/tablets a way to fill in the blanky things for the sermons, so the blanks on the digital versions are already filled in
.
What’s a QR code?
A QR code is a type of bar code that is gaining popularity with people who use smartphones and tablet computers. It’s an easy way to offer people a direct link to more detailed information regarding something they are looking at or for (in our case bulletins and sermon notes). With a free QR code app on the tablet or smartphone, people can point the camera of their device at the QR code and the phone will automatically begin downloading the bulletin and sermon notes for that week.
