Life Groups

Sunday School | 9:50-10:40 am

• “Strong Foundations” is a group that discusses the basics of the Christian faith. It is led by Michael Nikkila and meets in room 222.

• Young Adults (post-high-school through early-30s) meet with Chris and Lorrie Miller in room 210.

• Clifford Kelley leads an adult class studying a quarterly curriculum in the Fireside Room.

• Janice Plummer leads an adult topical discussion in Room 201.

Mixed Life Groups

• “Sermon Rehash” meets the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month at 5:15 pm in the Fireside Room. Recent sermons are reviewed, and discussions apply to the current day and our faith journey.

• Freedom Seekers meet Sundays at 7:00pm or Wednesdays at 6:30pm (choose one) for a 6 week “Right Now Media” Video study to learn how to better apply God’s word to our lives.  There is a two week break after each topic is completed before the next study is begun.  Check the church office for current topic and date information.

• Celebrate Recovery is a community supported ministry that meets on Mondays at 6:30 p.m.at the HFMC. to serve people who are seeking freedom from addiction, hurt and destructive patterns. The evening begins with all gathering in the sanctuary for worship, recovery teachings and testimonies, Then, they separate into men’s and women’s small groups.  The evening concludes with snacks and fellowship time. Biblically based childcare is provided. The 1^st evening of each month starts at 5:30 with a meal.

Men’s Life Groups

• Men’s Bible Study meets the 1st Monday of every month at 7pm in room 201.  This group meets to dig deeper into a man’s perspective on Godly issues.

• Men’s Breakfast group meets in the Fireside Room the 3rd Saturday each month with a yummy breakfast followed by a group discussion. This group meets to foster brotherhood and strengthen faith through fellowship.

Women’s Life Groups

• The Tuesday Women’s Bible Study meets at 9:30am for coffee followed by a lesson in the Fireside Room.

• Sisters in Christ meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month from 6:30-7:30pm in a home. This fellowship of Christian women, from all stages of life, gather together to share our lives and support each other.

• Community Bible Study for Women and Children meets Wednesdays, 9:15-11:15 am during the school year.

College Student Life Groups meet during the school year

• All college students are welcome to attend a lunch, fellowship and discussion on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month that classes are in session at 12:30pm at a local home. Check with the office for details.

• All college students are welcome to join the Bible Study Fellowship Thursday nights from 8:45-10:00 at the North House (158 Union Street).

We value Life Groups because they serve as one of the greatest catalysts for spiritual growth.
