CALL TO WORSHIP — From Psalm 32

LEADER: Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

 ALL: Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.

 LEADER: When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

 ALL: For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

 LEADER: Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity.

 ALL: I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

 LEADER: Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.

 ALL: You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

 LEADER: Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!

HOW GREAT THOU ART

Verse 1 – O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder

Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder

Thy pow’r thru’out the universe displayed

Chorus – Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

Verse 2 – When through the woods, And forest glades I wander

And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees

When I look down, From lofty mountain grandeur

And hear the brook, And feel the gentle breeze

Verse 3 – And when I think that God, His Son not sparing

Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in

That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing

He bled and died to take away my sin

BUILD YOUR KINGDOM

Verse 1 – Come set Your rule and reign, In our hearts again

Increase in us we pray, Unveil why we’re made

Come set our hearts ablaze with hope, Like wildfire in our very souls, Holy Spirit come invade us now

We are Your church, We need Your pow’r in us

Verse 2 – We seek Your kingdom first, We hunger and we thirst

Refuse to waste our lives, For You’re our joy and prize

To see the captives’ hearts released, The hurt the sick the poor at peace, We lay down our lives for heaven’s cause

We are Your church, We pray revive this earth

Chorus – Build Your kingdom here, Let the darkness fear

Show Your mighty hand, Heal our streets and land

Set Your church on fire, Win this nation back

Change the atmosphere, Build Your kingdom here we pray

Verse 3 – Unleash Your kingdom’s pow’r, Reaching the near and far

No force of hell can stop, Your beauty changing hearts

You made us for much more than this, Awake the kingdom seed in us, Fill us with the strength and love of Christ

We are Your church, We are the hope on earth

Just As I am (I come broken)

Verse 1 – Just as I am without one plea

But that thy blood was shed for me

And that thou bidst me come to thee

Oh, Lamb of God, I come, I come

Verse 2 – Just as I am, and waiting not

To rid my soul of one dark blot

To thee whose blood can cleanse each spot

Oh, Lamb of God, I come, I come

Chorus – I come broken to be mended

I come wounded to be healed

I come desperate to be rescued, I come empty to be filled

I come guilty to be pardoned, By the blood of Christ the Lamb

And I’m welcomed with open arms, Praise God, just as I am

Verse 3 – Just as I am, I would be lost

But mercy and grace, my freedom bought

And now to glory in Your cross

Oh, Lamb of God, I come, I come

This I Believe (The Creed)

Verse 1 – Our Father everlasting, The all creating One,

God Almighty

Through Your Holy Spirit, Conceiving Christ the Son,

Jesus our Savior

Chorus – I believe in God our Father, I believe in Christ the Son

I believe in the Holy Spirit, Our God is three in one

I believe in the resurrection, That we will rise again

For I believe, In the name of Jesus

Verse 2 – Our Judge and our Defender, Suffered and crucified

Forgiveness is in You

Descended into darkness, You rose in glorious life

Forever seated high

Bridge – I believe in You, I believe You rose again

I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord

Yes, I believe in You, I believe You rose again

I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord

Chorus 2 – I believe in life eternal, I believe in the virgin birth

I believe in the saints communion, And in Your holy Church

I believe in the resurrection, When Jesus comes again

For I believe, In the name of Jesus

APOSTLES’ CREED: (RECITED IN UNISON)

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord;

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary;

suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried.

He descended into hell;

the third day He rose again from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,

and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic* church,

the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins;

the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.

Amen.                            (*catholic simply means universal)

Doxology (sung at the conclusion of the baptism)

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow;

Praise Him all creatures here below;

Praise Him above ye heav’nly host;

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
