HEADS UP….

CALL TO WORSHIP — From Psalm 31

.
LEADER: In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness.
.
ALL: Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
.
LEADER: Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
.
ALL: Keep me free from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge.
.
LEADER: Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, Lord, my faithful God.
.

HOW GREAT THOU ART

Verse 1 –
O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds, Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder

Thy pow’r thru’out, The universe displayed

Chorus –
Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, How great Thou art
Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

Verse 2 –
When through the woods, And forest glades I wander
And hear the birds, Sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down, From lofty mountain grandeur

And hear the brook, And feel the gentle breeze

Verse 4 –
When Christ shall come, With shout of acclamation
And take me home, What joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow, In humble adoration
And there proclaim, My God how great Thou art

BUILD YOUR KINGDOM

Verse 1 –
Come set Your rule and reign, In our hearts again
Increase in us we pray, Unveil why we’re made
Come set our hearts ablaze with hope,
Like wildfire in our very souls, Holy Spirit come invade us now

We are Your church, We need Your pow’r in us

Verse 2 –
We seek Your kingdom first, We hunger and we thirst
Refuse to waste our lives, For You’re our joy and prize
To see the captives’ hearts released, The hurt the sick the poor at peace,
We lay down our lives for heaven’s cause

We are Your church, We pray revive this earth

Chorus –
Build Your kingdom here, Let the darkness fear
Show Your mighty hand, Heal our streets and land
Set Your church on fire, Win this nation back

Change the atmosphere, Build Your kingdom here we pray

Verse 3 –
Unleash Your kingdom’s pow’r, Reaching the near and far
No force of hell can stop, Your beauty changing hearts
You made us for much more than this, Awake the kingdom seed in us,
Fill us with the strength and love of Christ
We are Your church, We are the hope on earth

GRATITUDE

Verse 1 –
All my words fall short, I got nothing new

How could I express, All my gratitude

Verse 2 –
I could sing these songs, As I often do

But every song must end, And You never do

Chorus –
So I throw up my hands, And praise You again and again
‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah, hallelujah
And I know it’s not much, But I’ve nothing else fit for a king

Except for a heart singing hallelujah, Hallelujah

Verse 3 –
I’ve got one response, I’ve got just one move

With my arms stretched wide, I will worship You

Bridge –
Come on my soul ,Oh don’t you get shy on me
Lift up your song ,‘Cause you’ve got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord

BLESSED ASSURANCE

Verse 1 –
Blessed assurance Jesus is mine,
O what a foretaste of glory divine
Heir of salvation purchase of God,

Born of His Spirit washed in His blood

Chorus –
This is my story this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long

This is my story this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long

Verse 2 –
Perfect submission perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight
Angels descending bring from above,

Echoes of mercy whispers of love

Verse 3 –
Perfect submission all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest
Watching and waiting looking above,
Filled with His goodness lost in His love

I THANK GOD

Verse 1 –
Wandering into the night, wanting a place to hide
This weary soul, this bag of bones
I try with all of my might, But I just can’t win the fight

I’m slowly drifting, a vagabond

Pre-Chorus –

And just when I ran out of the road, I met a man I didn’t know,
And He told me that I was not alone

Chorus –
You picked me up, You turned me around
And placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master I thank the Savior
Because You healed my heart, You changed my name
Forever free I’m not the same

I thank the Master, I thank the Savior, I thank God

Verse 2 –
I cannot deny what I’ve seen, got no choice but to believe
My doubts are burnin’, like ashes in the wind
So long to my old friends, burden and bitterness

You can just keep them moving, Nah you ain’t welcome here

Pre-Chorus –
From now till I walk streets of gold
I’ll sing of how You saved my soul

This wayward son has found his way back home

Bridge –
Hell lost another one I am free I am free I am free (REPEAT)

APOSTLES’ CREED:

(RECITED IN UNISON)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, dead and buried.
He descended into hell;
the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting. Amen.
(*catholic simply means universal)

Doxology

(sung at the conclusion of the baptism)
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

If this is your first time with HFM for worship, we are so glad you chose to worship with us today! We’d love to see you at our main building for worship as well sometime! God is on the move at HFM and to find out more, check out www.hillsdalefmc.net or follow us on Facebook or Instagram @hillsdalefmc .

After today’s baptism service, we’ll transition over to the pavilion for a time of food, fun, and fellowship. Feel free to eat, fellowship, and enjoy the park! Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty, so keep an eye on any kids you brought and make sure you leave with the same number you came with. Have fun with your church fam playing disc golf, corn hole, swimming, fishing, kayaking, or just chit-chatting around the pavilion. The agenda after service is to have fun! And finally, for your safety, please fellowship away from flying discs.

If you would like to worship in giving this morning, feel free to head over to hillsdalefmc.net/give or drop your tithe or offering in a basket when they are passed by during the service.

If you would like to know more about Jesus and his love for you, talk to any number of the smiling faces you meet today.
